Mahindra & Mahindra has expanded its Scorpio N lineup by introducing a new automatic transmission variant under the Z4 trim. This move reduces the entry price for an automatic Scorpio N, targeting buyers looking for value without sacrificing convenience.
The newly launched Scorpio N Z4 automatic variant comes with a starting price of Rs 17.39 lakh (ex-showroom) for the petrol version. The diesel variant is priced at Rs 17.86 lakh (ex-showroom). With this update, the Z4 AT becomes the most affordable automatic option in the Scorpio N range, undercutting the earlier Z6 diesel AT model by Rs 1.05 lakh.
Under the hood, the Z4 AT trim offers two engine configurations. The 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine delivers 203 hp with 370 Nm torque in the manual setup and 380 Nm in the automatic. The 2.2-litre diesel engine produces 130 hp and 300 Nm torque in the RWD version, while the 4WD version outputs 175 hp and 370 Nm.
Mahindra offers the Z4 automatic exclusively in a 7-seater layout. It includes halogen headlamps, LED turn indicators, 17-inch steel wheels with plastic covers, a rear spoiler, power-operated windows, and a touchscreen infotainment system compatible with wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Additional features include steering-mounted controls, rear AC vents, and fabric upholstery.
For safety, the variant provides dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX mounts, hill hold and hill descent control, and 3-point seatbelts for all passengers.
The introduction of this lower-cost automatic variant continues Mahindra's strategy to diversify the Scorpio N range and boost customer interest in the mid-level trims.
